ARTIST IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Mimimamu

China · MORE THAN A TOY

Karen Wang graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University in 2023, and received her Master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 2024. Her creative practice explores memory, emotion, and the relationship between people and nature. Through thoughtful material choices and experimental craftsmanship, she seeks to capture fleeting moments and the subtle feelings that are often difficult to express in words. In 2024, Karen founded MIMIMAMU, a handmade collectible brand created with the hope of bringing warmth, comfort, and a sense of healing through handcrafted techniques and distinctive character design. Each creation reflects her passion for storytelling, tactile materials, and the joy found in everyday companionship.
